Jayden Daniels
  • After a sublime 2024 rookie season in which he threw for 3,568 yards and 25 touchdowns, ran for 891 yards and six touchdowns, and was named Offensive Rookie of the Year, Daniels played only seven games in 2025 due to elbow, knee and ankle injuries. When he was healthy, Daniels was a far less efficient passer than he had been in 2024, averaging only 6.7 yards per pass attempt and completing 60.6% of his throws in 2025 (down from 7.4 YPA and a 69.0% completion rate as a rookie).

  • Von Miller spoke about choosing the Commanders, saying "with the Washington Commanders, I just felt like Jayden Daniels was poised for another great season. His rookie season went all the way to the NFC Championship, and last year, he got hit with injuries, not just at the quarterback position, but all over the place."

  • With Terry McLaurin limited to 10 games last season, Deebo Samuel and Zach Ertz were the top two target options in the offense. Neither has been re-signed, and both remain free agents. After last year's injuries and less proven talent around him, the risk far outweighs the reward of selecting Daniels at his current ADP.

  • When Daniels did play a complete game, he was still productive for fantasy. In those weeks, he posted 19.6 fantasy points per game, which would have been QB7 for the season. He scored at least 15 fantasy points in six of his seven appearances, showing he still has a high floor.

    Rich Hribar· Jul 9
  • Assuming he can see time on the field in that same role with Jayden Daniels at quarterback, he will generate significant fantasy points with his efficiency.

  • Washington's fortunes revolve around the health of Jayden Daniels. The positive is that before injuries derailed his 2025 season, he still flashed franchise-quarterback traits, and the team was competitive.

    Joe Gibbs· Jul 3
  • Daniels struggled with knee, hamstring and elbow injuries last season, and his durability is going to be in question until he can stay healthy for 17 games across multiple seasons. However, as long as he's healthy, Daniels brings the kind of rushing upside that only a handful of quarterbacks can match.

  • Jayden Daniels was a disappointment even before he got hurt. His passing numbers were down, and he only averaged 39.7 rushing yards per game prior to his injury.

  • Jayden Daniels started only seven games. A healthier season at quarterback should allow them to close the turnover margin this season.

  • Even in the games Daniels played, it was clear that regression was going to hit. Finishing the season with a 2-5 record as the starter, he averaged 11 fewer rushing yards and 29 fewer passing yards per game compared to his rookie season.

    Ellis Johnson· Jun 26
  • After shocking the world with an NFC Conference Championship run as a rookie, his second season was one to forget. As a prospect, one of Daniels' biggest flaws was his inability to take contact and his small frame. Both of these issues came up last season, when he missed 10 games.

    Ellis Johnson· Jun 26
  • Daniels played in only seven games as he battled through multiple injuries before dislocating his left elbow in Week 9, forcing him to miss the rest of the season. When he did play, Daniels saw a season two regression with a slight dip in his Adjusted Yards per Attempt, down almost a full yard from his rookie season.

  • Jayden Daniels was one of three top-five quarterbacks in ADP that finished as a massive fantasy bust, finishing at least 18 spots lower than his ADP at QB34, having missed 19 combined games because of injury.

    Mike Fanelli· Jun 14
  • Even when Daniels did play, he looked a step slow compared to his rookie year. His completion percentage dropped by 6.5%, his timing was off, and the offense couldn't sustain drives.

  • Daniels just could not stay on the field. The injuries hit early and kept coming: Week 2: Knee sprain Week 7: Hamstring strain Week 9: Dislocated elbow

Rome Odunze
  • Over his first four games of last season, Odunze was the fantasy WR3 behind Puka Nacua and Amon-Ra St. Brown. That's when he suffered a foot injury and never seemed to fully recover.

    Ellis Johnson· Jul 10
  • Last year Rome came in hot right out of the gate, averaging 17.4 points through the first four games…then the bye week hit. It was a full 180. He was inconsistent and unreliable and then he was injured, missing the last five games. Now we wonder, were the first four games a fluke?

  • Rome Odunze started his sophomore campaign red hot, but faded over the second half while playing through and eventually missing time with a stress fracture in his foot.

  • Odunze got off to one of the hottest starts last year, ranking as the WR3 over the first month, averaging 19.9 PPR fantasy points per game. Odunze could easily have a Jameson Williams-like top-12 finish if he gets seven targets per game, and he averaged 7.5 targets per game last season.

    Mike Fanelli· Jul 1
  • Rome Odunze didn't meet expectations either, but he had a good excuse: playing on a crowded team.

  • Prior to the injury, Odunze was the clear No. 1 WR in the offense. With DJ Moore out the door, the passing offense will run through Odunze, Burden and Colston Loveland, with Odunze operating as the downfield target. Odunze hit an aDOT of 13.9, good for the 12th-highest mark in the league, with his 23 deep targets ranking eighth.

    Chad Workman· Jun 29
  • Odunze is a talented, big-bodied receiver on a powerful offense. Unless we see this team forget about defense and turn into the Bengals, it will be tough for Burden or Odunze to crack the WR1 mix.

    Ellis Johnson· Jun 29
  • After an electric start to his 2025 campaign, it was looking like Rome Odunze was everything we hoped Marvin Harrison Jr. would be. However, from Week 6 on, he was the WR70 in points per game.

    Ellis Johnson· Jun 29
  • With DJ Moore traded to the Buffalo Bills and Caleb Williams entering Year 3, a massive target vacuum has opened up. Odunze isn't just fighting for a role anymore; he has a direct, unimpeded path to become the primary vertical threat in an explosive, modernized passing game in Chicago. Odunze is one of the sharpest buying opportunities on Sleeper.

    Dennis Sosic· Jun 18
  • The players going in this range just do not offer the same kind of elite, lineup-altering advantage as Daniels at this cost. We are talking about guys like Rome Odunze, Bhayshul Tuten, Jadarian Price, and Marvin Harrison Jr.

  • Get a season outlook and range of outcomes for Rome Odunze.

  • He was the WR3 in half-PPR heading into the Bears' Week 5 bye, notching five touchdowns in his first four games. Odunze sat as the WR10 through Week 8, but following his foot injury, he was the WR55 in Weeks 9 through 13 before the Bears shut him down for the regular season.

    Chad Workman· May 25
  • Rome Odunze was less efficient across the whole season, but his numbers before suffering a foot injury early in the season also beat Loveland's.

    Ted Chmyz· May 25
  • Players like Rome Odunze, Loveland, and D'Andre Swift all generated positive discussion throughout the mock draft.

  • Now is the time to buy before his price goes WAY UP for Rome Odunze. After the first month of the 2025 season, Odunze looked to be headed for a breakout year, but lackluster performances and injuries at the end of the year slowed that progress. Gone is DJ Moore, leaving Odunze as the de facto WR1, and he has another year in the Ben Johnson system.
