Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 11, 2026

This page explains what Fantasy Joes collects about you, which third-party tools run on the site, and how to get your data deleted. Short version: we collect what the product needs to work, we use a few standard analytics and ad-measurement tools, and we do not sell your personal data.

01

What We Collect

  • Account info. If you create an account, we collect your email address and password. Passwords are hashed (we use Convex Auth) — we never see or store the plain text.
  • Anonymous play. You can play without an account. Anonymous players are identified by a random device ID stored in your browser — no name, no email.
  • Gameplay. Your duel picks, rankings, and league activity. That data is the product — it is how your board gets built and scored.
  • Sleeper username. Only if you use live draft sync. A Sleeper username is public information; we never ask for or store a Sleeper password.
  • CSV imports. If you import a rankings CSV, we read the file to seed your board.
02

Analytics and Ads

Three kinds of third-party measurement run on this site, and you deserve to know plainly what each one does:

Google Analytics 4 — standard usage analytics: which pages get visited, roughly where traffic comes from.

Microsoft Clarity

records session replays. That means how you scroll, tap, and click on our pages gets captured so we can watch back anonymized sessions and debug confusing UX. If that bothers you, it is the tool most worth blocking — see below.

Reddit and TikTok ad pixels — measure whether ads we run on those platforms actually brought you here.

You can block some or all of these with your browser's tracking protection or a content blocker. The site works fine without them, and we don't try to fight them.

03

Who Processes Your Data

We don't run our own servers. These providers process data on our behalf:

  • Convex — our database and backend. Your account, rankings, and gameplay live here.
  • Netlify — hosts the website.
  • Google, Microsoft, Reddit, TikTok — the analytics and ad-measurement tools described above.

One thing that often confuses people: player data on this site — names, stats, projections — comes from Sleeper and ESPN. That is sports data we fetch about NFL players, not data about you.

04

Cash Contests (Applies When Cash Contests Are Live)

Cash contests — skill-based peer-to-peer contests — are not live yet. They are coming soon where legal, 18+. This section applies only once they launch:

  • Privy provides embedded wallets for contest entries and payouts.
  • We run a state/location eligibility check to confirm cash contests are legal where you are.
  • You attest that you are 18 or older.
  • If you win $600 or more in a year, US tax rules require us to collect a W-9 and report your winnings.

The full rules will live at Contest Rules.

05

Cookies and Local Storage

We store a small number of things in your browser:

  • Your auth session, so you stay signed in.
  • Your device ID, if you play anonymously.
  • Preferences, like display settings.
06

We Don't Sell Personal Data

We do not sell your personal data. Not to data brokers, not to advertisers, not to anyone.

07

Deleting Your Data and Contacting Us

You can delete your account yourself: Profile → Account → Delete account. That erases your login, email, username, and public board immediately. Records the law requires us to keep — money movements and tax forms — are retained, with your name removed. Or email nick@fantasyjoes.gg and we'll do it for you. Questions about this policy go to the same address — a real person reads it.

08

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the new version gets a new effective date at the top of this page.
