“RJ Harvey and J.K. Dobbins were a complementary backfield in 2025.”
Josh Shepardson· Aug 19“There were also reports that the team tried to sign J.K. Dobbins before he returned to the Broncos.”
Ellis Johnson· Aug 19“Coleman makes sense as an RB4 option to begin the season and could move into RB2 territory later in the season if J.K. Dobbins misses time again.”

“Of all the Broncos running backs, I prefer J.K. Dobbins”
Richard Janvrin· Aug 6“I’m well aware of the Dobbins reputation at this point: he hasn’t played a full season in his career, and missed at least four games in each of the last five seasons. But, at some point, he is going to play a full seventeen games. And when he does, it will be incredible. Last season, he performed admirably in Sean Payton’s system, posting 15 carries for 77 yards per game (5.0 yards per attempt) while kicking in a catch per game, on just over 50% of snaps.”
Jeff Krisko· Jul 26“Before he was forced to the sidelines with an injury, Dobbins averaged 16 touches and 81 yards per game, as well as five yards per attempt, subverting what many thought would be an RJ Harvey takeover year.”
Ryan Kirksey· Jul 24“Jonah Coleman will serve as the backup to J.K. Dobbins and step in as Denver's early-down ball carrier when Dobbins inevitably misses some time due to injury.”
Ryan McCrystal· Jul 6“The team obviously values Dobbins, who has been excellent for the Broncos when on the field. Back in March, they extended him for two more years, guaranteeing him $8 million and including incentives that could push the contract's maximum value to $20 million.”
Kyle Lesti· Jun 18“Dobbins, when healthy, is one of the better backs in the league, but unfortunately, injuries continue to sideline ol' J.K. He missed seven games last season, four the year before that, and the entirety of both the 2023 and 2021 seasons.”
Brittney Foxworth· May 11“Dobbins is coming back on a two-year $20 million contract.”
Andrew Erickson· Mar 22“Dobbins, though, might be the NFL's most injury-prone active player. The former Ravens second-round pick has missed a staggering 54 regular-season games in six seasons.”
Sam Robinson· Jul 3“"You can't find many people with higher average [per carry] then me," Dobbins said of his injury history. "This is going to be the best year, all 17 [games]. I've had three major injuries, one took me two years to recover from and was one not a lot of people come back from."”
Wyatt Grindley· Jun 25“Despite selecting running backs on the second day of the past two drafts, the Broncos and HC Sean Payton opted to bring back injury-prone RB J.K. Dobbins, who continues to dominate when healthy. "Dobbins was a priority, ahead of all others," Payton said.”
Wyatt Grindley· Jun 25“Despite re-signing J.K. Dobbins and restricted free agent Jaleel McLaughlin and having spent a second-round pick on RJ Harvey last year, the Broncos are doing research on the draft's offerings at the position.”
Ely Allen· Mar 21
“, and Alec Pierce is banged up. Jones is coming back from an Achilles injury.”
Josh Shepardson· Aug 19“Alec Pierce signed a massive $100+ million deal to be the No. 1 WR for the Colts. He caught just 47 passes last year, but went for over 1,000 yards. With Daniel Jones seemingly ready to go and Michael Pittman Jr. shipped out of town, Pierce is in for a big-time season once he’s healthy and on the field even with the addition of Keenan Allen.”
Richard Janvrin· Aug 18“This offseason, the Colts shipped off fellow wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. and awarded Alec Pierce a massive four-year, $114 million extension after catching 47 passes for 1,003 yards and six touchdowns last season.”

“There is a clear path where both Tucker Kraft and Alec Pierce lead their team in targets and receptions if they can stay healthy.”
Kurt Blakeway· Aug 14“Alec Pierce cashed in after a breakout season, leading the Colts in receiving yards in each of the last two years while continuing to dominate as one of the NFL’s premier deep threats. The 26-year-old finished as the WR23 in fantasy points per game in 2025, posting 10 games with at least 65 receiving yards and clearing 1,000 yards for the first time in his career.”
FantasyPros Staff· Aug 11“Deion Burks (WR – IND) Burks was a popular late round rookie pick this summer thanks to entering a relatively barren depth chart behind Alec Pierce and Josh Downs with the Indianapolis Colts.”
Raju Byfield· Aug 10“Vertical WR Alec Pierce stays - then has ankle surgery”
The FF Newsletter· Aug 6“Alec Pierce, Nico Collins – 3.7 How to support a QB on a rookie deal ( Drake Maye ):”
The FF Newsletter· Aug 6“Tyler Warren ’s rookie season and Alec Pierce ’s contract are reasons to believe that the Colts’ offense can continue to get better around Taylor, making his job much easier.”
Jordan Pullett· Jul 29“But what if I told you that Alec Pierce’s 2025 campaign was just his 2024 campaign, but on more targets? Pierce led the NFL in yards per reception in each of the last two seasons (22.3 in 2024, 21.3 in 2024), and his yards per target were identical .”
Jeff Krisko· Jul 28“Alec Pierce’s new contract and the departure of Michael Pittman Jr. are the two main reasons his value spiked, and it’s understandable. Does that mean he will suddenly catapult to a high-end WR2 in fantasy? I have my doubts.”
Kyle Zeigler· Jul 28“Alec Pierce (WR – IND) Pierce is going as the WR32, 74th overall, not a bad range for a player who flashed real ceiling outcomes last year, but there’s real reason for caution. He’s working back from a foot injury and has indicated he might not be fully ready until September.”
FantasyPros Staff· Jul 25“Alec Pierce has sustained three recorded concussions, and his hype train is full steam following the news of his new contract. Pierce is almost two months older than Olave and was drafted the same year.”
Peter Kettering· Jul 24“The Colts passing game operated by committee throughout the year, with each of Alec Pierce, Tyler Warren, Michael Pittman Jr. and Josh Downs filling a specific role within the offense.”
Jakob Sanderson· Jul 24“Still, considering the money Pierce was given and his natural big-play ability, plus the departure of Pittman, Pierce could be a fantasy WR1 this season. He’s currently going off the board as the WR37 in PPR leagues.”
