Expert takes
“Rice has clearly lost a step (or three) following a clean-up procedure on his right knee this offseason. The primary issue is that the Chiefs aren’t giving Rice as many manufactured looks around the line of scrimmage, preventing him from being the PPR scam he once was. With an ECR ranking of WR23, I’d frantically look to sell.”
Jim Moorman· Oct 6, 2026“Rice has a 21% target rate per route and 2.45 Y/RR on 58 routes against zone and a 21% target rate per route and 2.45 Y/RR on 42 routes against two-high coverage this season. Since 2024, he has had a 31% target rate per route and 3.26 Y/RR on 263 routes against zone, and a 30% target rate per route and 2.89 Y/RR on 187 routes against two-high coverage.”
Josh Shepardson· Oct 2, 2026“The issue is the unknown nature of what Rice is outside of the Chiefs franchise. Plus, the addition of Kenneth Walker and the resurgence of Travis Kelce have impacted his overall offensive involvement. Rebuilders should look to trade him due to long-term contract ambiguity and off-field risk.”
Vernon Meighan· Sep 30, 2026

“Watching him live, Rice looks slow and stiff as he gets through his routes. Rice grabbed seven of his nine targets, but he should’ve had the other two as well. One of them was a drop that turned into a Miami interception.”
FantasyPros Staff· Sep 30, 2026“Rashee Rice was never as talented as his fantasy production would indicate. He racked up points over the last few years thanks to the Chiefs’ half-functional offense. Now that Kansas City has a real running game, Rice’s PPR scam days seem over.”
Ted Chmyz· Sep 23, 2026“Rashee Rice ‘s expected fantasy points is a woeful 5.6 per game.”
Kyle Borgognoni· Sep 21, 2026“Rashee Rice and Xavier Worthy . Rice has since turned heads for the wrong reasons in training camp, looking slow. Meanwhile, Worthy sprained his shoulder in early August and returned to practice one week later .”
Josh Shepardson· Aug 28, 2026“Rashee Rice (WR – KC) Unfortunately, Rice has been in the news for all the wrong reasons this offseason. He served a 30-day sentence for violating his probation.”
Mike Fanelli· Aug 27, 2026“Second, he hasn’t been on the field enough over the last two seasons to justify his current average draft position (ADP), which hasn’t accounted for several factors. Currently ranked as the WR13 in expert consensus rankings (ECR), Rice is being treated as a low-end WR1.”
Evan Tarracciano· Aug 26, 2026“3.02: Rashee Rice (WR – KC) Probably the most uncomfortable pick you can make this year is Rashee Rice because you have no idea what you are going to get with him. But Rice’s upside is through the roof.”
Kurt Blakeway· Aug 25, 2026“Rice has commanded targets every time the Chiefs have given him a full-time role. Season Period Target Share 2023 Final 10 games with full-time snaps, including playoffs 24% 2024 Three complete games 31.5% 2025 Eight games 26.5%”
Javier Manzanera· Aug 23, 2026“In eight games last season, Rice recorded: 78 targets 53 receptions 571 receiving yards Five receiving TDs 20 rushing yards One rushing TD That comes out to 9.8 targets and 15.5 half-PPR points per game.”
Javier Manzanera· Aug 23, 2026“Round 2: Rashee Rice (WR – KC) Rashee Rice is certainly a bit risky with his off-field issues, including serving time in jail earlier this offseason, but when he was on the field last season, he had a staggering 37.”

“DET | DraftKings: $6,700/FanDuel: $7,200 Trey McBride is a no-brainer at tight end this week against a Lions defense that has been absolutely shredded through the air. Detroit has been especially vulnerable against tight ends, making this an ideal spot for McBride to put up a monster fantasy performance. With Arizona likely forced to throw to keep pace with Detroit’s high-powered offense, McBride should have plenty of opportunities to rack up receptions.”
Frank Ammirante· Oct 10, 2026“Hockenson $4,800 MIN @NO 10.6 2.21 1.42% Michael Mayer $3,500 LV @NE 6.3 1.8 1.38% Pat Freiermuth $3,900 PIT IND 7.5 1.92 1.23% Greg Dulcich $3,100 MIA CIN 6.1 1.97 1.07% McBride is still my first look when paying up. I would change another position before forcing a TE fade in a lineup I already like. Bowers is my preferred alternative.”
Chris Cash· Oct 10, 2026“Trey McBride was a monster last year, and he’s continuing to smash this season. The stud tight end has the following marks through three games: 85.5% snap share 81.5% route participation rate 28.2% target share 0.33 TPRR 32.5% first-read rate 26.8% air yard share 8.7 receptions per game 70.3 receiving yards per game 7 red-zone targets 4 end-zone targets 2 receiving touchdowns (both on end-zone targets) 2.8 expected receiving touchdowns 19.70 DraftKings points per game 20.86 expected DraftKings points per game 15.37 FanDuel points per game 16.93 expected FanDuel points per game Michael Wilson is the other stellar selection in Arizona’s passing game.”

“Speaking of positional advantage, Trey McBride is averaging 15.4 half-PPR points per game and leads all tight ends in targets and receptions. It’s all McBride and Michael Wilson in Arizona, with these two accounting for nearly 60% of the target share. With 10+ targets in all three games this year, McBride’s fantasy floor is elite.”
Jim Moorman· Sep 29, 2026“ARI @ SF (SF-8.5, O/U 47.5) Trey McBride is the only Arizona Cardinal that you can start with confidence this week, as Jeremiyah Love has only seen 27 opportunities in two weeks on a bad offense.”
Jordan Pullett· Sep 25, 2026“The apple of Brissett’s eye all afternoon, McBride led the team in targets with 13, catching nine passes for 95 yards and a score in an upset victory over the Los Angeles Chargers. McBride will look to keep the train a’ rollin’ in a more difficult matchup at home against Seattle next week. Stud:”
Evan Tarracciano· Sep 14, 2026“Star TE Trey McBride had nine for 95 and the score, while veteran WR Kendrick Bourne racked up eight catches for 75 yards. First-round RB Jeremiyah Love got in the end zone for the first time in his career, while WRs Michael Wilson and Marvin Harrison Jr. also chipped in with big plays. Arizona has pretty solid weapons but it’s notable that the Cardinals had as much success as they did against a Chargers defense that was No. 5 in total defense last year and returned most of the unit.”
Logan Ulrich· Sep 14, 2026“While Trey McBride is a must-start, there are serious questions around the rest of the Cardinals.”
Jordan Pullett· Sep 12, 2026“Brock Bowers , Colston Loveland , and Trey McBride are the obvious examples heading into this season.”
Brooke Morgan· Sep 4, 2026“Trey McBride (TE – ARI) Trey McBride has a top-20 ADP after catching 126 passes for 1,239 yards and 11 touchdowns last season.”
FantasyPros Staff· Sep 4, 2026“Trey McBride (TE – ARI) Whether you prefer Brock Bowers or Trey McBride doesn’t really matter. Neither should be drafted this high. Last season, McBride averaged 18.6 PPR points per game, and Bowers averaged 15.5 in 2024, the better season of his two years in the NFL.”
Tom Strachan· Aug 28, 2026“Taking a look at the top options from last season, McBride averaged 11.2 fantasy points per game, and Bowers averaged 9.4 points per game.”
FantasyPros Staff· Aug 27, 2026“Cardinals TE Trey McBride has become a prolific fantasy scorer.”
FantasyPros Staff· Aug 15, 2026“In full-PPR formats, running backs and wide receivers split the top 10 in points per game 50/50, while running backs made up 10 of the top 20 spots in those leagues ( Trey McBride was in there as a tight end).”
Rich Hribar· Aug 12, 2026“Let’s use last season’s leading TE scorer, Trey McBride , as an example. He scored 315.9 PPR fantasy points last season. In TE-premium, where he gets an extra half-point for each of his 126 receptions, McBride scored 378.9 fantasy points.”
