The Browns are winning, yet Judkins is still having a tough time getting going. The second-year back is averaging an abysmal 3.0 yards per carry this season and hasn’t topped 70 rushing yards in a game yet.”

He has been targeted on 24.3% of his routes (RB15) but has still run a route on only 35.6% of dropbacks (RB26), sharing passing duties with Raheim Sanders . “Judkins has a 68.3% snap rate with 53.3% of the rushing attempts, a 38.5% route share, and a 13.5% target share. He has handled all three of the Browns’ red zone rushing attempts this season. Unfortunately, he has been woefully inefficient with his workload, with zero explosive runs, 1.42 yards after contact per attempt, and an 8% missed tackle rate.”

“Quinshon Judkins has had 12 carries in each of his first two games and hasn’t had a run of 10 or more yards. He’s averaging 2.3 yards per carry behind a rebuilt Browns offensive line that ranks dead last in the run-blocking metric adjusted line yards. But Judkins gets a favorable home matchup against a Panthers defense that has given up the most rushing yards to RBs.”

Maybe an opportunistic Chuba Hubbard owner would consider swapping for Judkins, knowing that the Browns are fully committed to him as their RB1?”

“Henderson played 13 more snaps and had 10 more carries than Rhamondre Stevenson , possibly because Stevenson lost a fumble on New England’s first possession of the game. But Stevenson is regarded as the far better pass blocker, and the Patriots’ offensive line has not done a great job of handling pressure this season. It’s going to be very hard to predict the workload split between Henderson and Stevenson.”

“According to Nathan Jahnke , Stevenson played on New England’s first four snaps of their opening drive before losing a fumble, and TreVeyon Henderson played 21 out of 25 snaps across five subsequent drives while Stevenson recorded just six snaps during that stretch. Stevenson wasn’t completely mothballed, but he opened the door for Henderson, and the speedy second-year pro took advantage of the opportunity. Henderson played 33 snaps, ran 12 routes and carried the ball 16 times for 76 yards and a touchdown.”

“Henderson played 60% of the snaps and received 61.5% of the backfield opportunities on his way to 13.6 PPR points. Stevenson, on the other hand, scored only 4.3 PPR points while getting 30.8% of the backfield opportunities on 36.4% of the snaps. Stevenson is a solid back, but Henderson has the higher ceiling; it shouldn’t surprise anyone if he commands the majority of the backfield for the rest of the season.”
