Derrick Henry
  • While Henry is no spring chicken, fantasy players should have no fear drafting him as a low-end RB1. He has played 17 games in three consecutive seasons. Furthermore, the future Hall of Famer has totaled at least 1,150 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns in four consecutive years, finishing as a top-eight running back every season.

    Mike Fanelli· Aug 18
  • Derrick Henry (RB – BAL) Even dating back to his time with the Titans, Derrick Henry has been a massively consistent running back for fantasy football. Since 2023, he’s finished as a top-10 running back in PPR formats (and even better in standard leagues).

  • Derrick Henry – 19.2 Joining that contract range this offseason: De’Von Achane , Breece Hall, and Kenneth Walker

  • Derrick Henry (BAL) — ECR: RB11 | Projection Rank: RB5 | Projected FPTS: 264.

  • Yesterday, I was speaking with Football Absurdity hair model Waleed Ismail about an auction team he mock drafted where he went heavy RB (Bijan, Hampton, Derrick Henry), and paid down at WR (Carnell Tate, Parker Washington).

    Tony Martin· Jul 30
  • Overall, the increase of under-center snaps favors Derrick Henry , which poses a specific siphoning risk related to rushing TD opportunity.

  • Derrick Henry (BAL) — ECR: RB11 | Projection Rank: RB6 | Projected FPTS: 264.0 Last year was another impressive year for Derrick Henry . He didn’t show any signs of slowing down with 307 rushing attempts, 1.595 rushing yards, 16 total touchdowns, and an RB8 finish in fantasy points per game.

  • Other skill-position players with a similar LTV include fellow veteran Derrick Henry and Sam LaPorta.

  • Baltimore now turns to head coach Jesse Minter, whose offseason reviews highlight a more explosive and creative scheme. That shift should benefit Henry's usage and the offense as a whole. The veteran's current average draft position in the middle rounds is a clear value.

  • Every season, managers expect Derrick Henry to decline, and every season he proves them wrong. Henry turned 32 in January, yet his power, durability and efficiency remain intact. He finished as the RB8 in PPR formats last year with 279.5 fantasy points and continues to play well beyond typical age curves.

  • Much like fine wine, it just seems like Derrick Henry is getting better with age. However, only the 1972 Miami Dolphins and Father Time are undefeated. King Henry is coming off a career season in which he had 27 carries in the 5-yard line. There isn't anyone challenging him on the depth chart for touches, so the only concern in 2026 is age and the departure of center Tyler Linderbaum.

  • Derrick Henry is entering his late-career danger zone, and the depth behind him is paper-thin.

    Dennis Sosic· Jul 6
  • Every season fantasy managers wonder whether Derrick Henry is finally slowing down. Jake Ciely isn't buying it. His reasoning is simple. Henry's draft cost continues to fall even though his production hasn't. Ciely also pointed out that Henry's fantasy scoring remains remarkably consistent regardless of game script, making him one of the safest veteran running backs available. At his current ADP, he's comfortable betting on Henry one more time.

  • While some won't draft Henry for fear his age makes him an injury risk, the veteran has played in at least 15 games in all but one year of his career, including 17 contests in three consecutive seasons. He was RB8 last year, averaging 16.4 PPR fantasy points per game despite totaling only 15 receptions, 18 fewer than any other running back to finish top 20.

    Mike Fanelli· Jul 3
  • If Lamar Jackson can bounce back, Henry could inch back closer to his 2024 production (RB4 in fantasy points per game). He's at worst a low-end RB1 with top-five upside.

Christian McCaffrey
  • He has head coach Kyle Shanahan, Christian McCaffrey , and a loaded offensive ecosystem.

    Samwise· Aug 19
  • He’s entering his age-30 season with a lot of miles on the tread. McCaffrey is absolutely capable of smashing, but he could also miss some games. Since 2020, he’s missed half the season or more three times.

    Kyle Zeigler· Aug 18
  • In a full PPR format, CMC represents one of the few RBs in the league who really benefits from the extra bump per reception. McCaffrey had a whopping 102 receptions last season and could very well be one of the main receiving weapons in San Francisco again in 2026.

    Tom Strachan· Aug 11
  • Plenty of people have been hurt by fading Christian McCaffrey over the years, and it feels like a dangerous prospect when CMC was the RB1 in PPR points per game, scored 24.5 last year, 2.5 more than Bijan Robinson.

    Tom Strachan· Aug 9
  • McCaffrey fell to 1.95 YAC/A (41st among 51 running backs with at least 90 carries) and -0.54 RYOE/A (47th). Given his age and injury history I’d bet heavily against McCaffrey turning the tides on his declining rush efficiency. Fortunately, he showed absolutely no sign of decline as a receiving threat.

  • McCaffrey is coming off a season where he touched the ball 400+ times and finished all but one week of the season as a top-24 RB. The biggest “if” with CMC is his health, but when he is on the field, he is a fantasy league winner.

    Kurt Mullen· Aug 7
  • Now, there are outliers — guys like Christian McCaffrey and Derrick Henry continue to defy the odds and crush it.

  • He's scored 20 TDs twice including last season when he finished as the RB2 overall behind Christian McCaffrey

    FFToday· Aug 6
  • Mason was the RB9 in week’s 1-7 in 2024 while filling in for Christian McCaffrey and found himself as a popular zero RB target a year ago after a trade to the Vikings

  • 2 running back in San Francisco behind Christian McCaffrey

    Mike Fanelli· Aug 6
  • 6 | Diff: +22 Kaelon Black looks to have an early edge to climb into the clear RB2 spot on the 49ers’ depth chart behind Christian McCaffrey , with Jordan James now dealing with a rib fracture.

  • 2 Something to note is that while Christian McCaffrey did not reach the total rushing attempts needed to hit this criterion last season, he did have 311 carries, along with 102 receptions, putting his total workload at a similar number.
