“Kraft is still being asked to block more due to the offensive line, which has limited his route-running opportunities. He had a position-high 7 snaps in pass protection on Sunday, which lowered his route rate to 67.6% of dropbacks. That said, he's had some added juice over the past two weeks, with 42 and 38 yards after the catch.”

This is just a matter of Kraft being the third option in an offense that isn’t very good, and the top two options are tiers ahead of him. His ECR ranking of TE7 is well ahead of my TE11 ranking, and I’d much prefer Tyler Warren, Dalton Kincaid, or even Harold Fannin Jr. over the rest of the season.”

The ramp-up happened quickly off the ACL injury, with Kraft’s snap involvement going from 66% in week one to 98% last week. The Packers’ offense struggled to get much of anything going last week, but the consensus seems to be that Kraft’s usage (or lack thereof) might have been the problem.”

I don’t see Montgomery finding any more running room this week. Tennessee has allowed the eighth-lowest explosive run rate and yards per carry, the sixth-fewest yards before contact per attempt, and the 13th-lowest EPA per rush.”

It's a laughably bad number and a byproduct of how bad the blocking has been on his runs. Marks will have some flex value while Montgomery is out, but it's hard to imagine he'll do any more with the opportunity than he did last year.”

“After opening the season with 20 carries, 79 scrimmage yards, and three touchdowns, Montgomery has averaged nine carries and 36 scrimmage yards over his last three games, without scoring a touchdown in any of them. Even worse, Montgomery has turned his 47 carries this season into just 127 rushing yards — a miserable 2.7 yards per carry — and Woody Marks stole Houston’s lone rushing touchdown on Sunday. The workload is shrinking, the efficiency isn’t there and the touchdowns that were masking both problems have disappeared.”
