Latest takes

Josh Allen
  • Josh Allen should be the undisputed QB1, but the weekly scoring gap at the position is very narrow. Last season, the difference between Allen, the QB1, and Daniel Jones , the QB18, was only four fantasy points per game. With the position so deep, this further strengthens the case for a late-round quarterback strategy in 2026.

    Kyle Zeigler· Aug 18
  • While there are five quarterbacks in this tier, Allen stands clearly ahead of the rest. The superstar has finished as a top-five quarterback in six consecutive seasons despite not having a go-to No. 1 wide receiver since the Bills traded away Stefon Diggs.

    Mike Fanelli· Aug 16
  • Bills QB Josh Allen is an amazing football player and a time-tested fantasy asset.

  • Josh Allen is microwave popcorn because when he gets hot, he absolutely pops off. One explosive play turns into another, the TDs start piling up, and suddenly you are staring at a fantasy score that felt impossible just a few quarters ago.

    Brooke Morgan· Aug 12
  • There’s no doubt that quarterbacks like Allen, Jackson, Drake Maye, and more should score more, but drafting any in the first few rounds is a bad idea.

  • Most notably, he oversaw the development of Josh Allen as Offensive Coordinator in Buffalo from 2018 through 2021.

    Kyle Lesti· Aug 11
  • The Sharp Football Analysis projections are aggressive in factoring in increased passing from Allen and are well above the Vegas passing yards total. ESPN’s publicly available projections have a moderate increase in passing attempts and yardage from last year and are still more than 300 yards over the passing total.

    Curtis Hirsch· Aug 10
  • Since the start of 2022, Allen is second in EPA per play and has finished among the top four quarterbacks in EPA per play in every single year.

    Curtis Hirsch· Aug 10
  • Josh Allen , Patrick Mahomes , Brock Purdy , Dak Prescott , and Jared Goff were the only quarterbacks selected as top-12 players who were also top 12 in points per game.

    Rich Hribar· Aug 5
  • Josh Allen 2026 Over/Under Predictions The Buffalo offense played at the league's slowest pace and ran the ball at the second-highest rate last season, which seems very counterintuitive for a team with Josh Allen at quarterback.

  • Josh Allen is once again the consensus QB1 in fantasy. He finished QB1 in fantasy scoring last season for the fourth time in the last six years. After down years from Lamar Jackson and Jalen Hurts , the gap between Allen and other fantasy QBs seems to have widened.

  • There is hope that a healthy Kincaid can live up to the hype that he has carried since entering the league as a first-round pick in the NFL Draft and be an elite TE option in an offense with Josh Allen .

    Kurt Mullen· Jul 29
  • With the first pick in the draft, Mike takes what feels like an obvious choice of Josh Allen, who has finished as the QB1 overall in four of the last six seasons.

    Kurt Mullen· Jul 29
  • The most obvious thing to consider is your positional strengths and weaknesses — trading for Lamar Jackson when you already have Josh Allen probably isn’t a good idea.

    Ted Chmyz· Jul 26
  • The counter to this would be that Josh Allen is coming off his lowest passing yardage total since 2019 (3,668), and hasn’t thrown for more than 30 touchdowns in the last three seasons.

    Tom Strachan· Jul 25
Ashton Jeanty
  • I opted to go with Ashton Jeanty at the end of the first round. In hindsight, I may have done this slightly differently, opting for Brock Bowers as the piece of this Raiders offense.

  • Ashton Jeanty (RB – LV) Going as the RB6, 10th overall, our analysts are genuinely split here. The projections point to a real season, but one that lands closer to a backend RB1 finish in the RB10 to 12 range rather than a true top-six overall running back. One analyst believes the jump required from last year’s disappointing rookie output to a true top-six finish is larger than the modest per-game increase the projections themselves show, driven mostly by added rushing volume rather than a big receiving-game jump.

  • There is plenty of hope that the Raiders offense will be able to take a big step forward this season with a complete overhaul of their coaching staff after being the worst team in the league in 2025. Even with a bad offense, Jeanty was still productive for fantasy rosters, though he could not return his high draft price.

  • I was not burned on Ashton Jeanty last season as BEAST DOME ranked him lower than any site last season, but he was so awful last year I could not imagine spending a 1st or 2nd Round pick on a guy who played like an RB3 at best in 2025.

  • I nearly clicked Zay Flowers with my second pick, and probably should have because he is in line for a huge 2026, but I instead grabbed my first running back in Ashton Jeanty, who should benefit from an upgraded offensive line and an offense-minded head coach in Klint Kubiak.

  • Ashton Jeanty (RB – LV) I could not have been more hyped for Ashton Jeanty heading into the 2025 season

    Ryan Kirksey· Aug 6
  • With Klint Kubiak in town, Fernando Mendoza or Kirk Cousins at the helm, a healthy Brock Bowers , and improved blocking up front, Jeanty could be poised to post a strong RB1 season in his second season.

  • Ashton Jeanty had 100% of the backfield rushes from inside of the 5-yard line as a rookie, but he only had 9 rushes from that area of the field.

    Rich Hribar· Jul 24
  • Ashton Jeanty will be seen as a disappointment for fantasy managers exiting his rookie season. It wasn’t a failure, but you can make the argument that, because of his talent and the hype, it didn’t live up to lofty expectations. Jeanty was the RB15 in fantasy points per game, finishing with 321 touches and 1,321 total yards.

  • Ashton Jeanty is entering his sophomore season with an improved situation. First and foremost, the Raiders hired Klint Kubiak as head coach, giving them one of the best play-callers in the NFL.

  • Last season, Jeanty was fifth in snap share at running back and first in backfield opportunity shares. If this usage continues, all we need is for the offense to take a step forward to have a huge season.

    Ellis Johnson· Jul 17
  • He now has a new head coach in Klint Kubiak, one of the rising offensive minds in the NFL. More importantly, the Raiders also bolstered the offensive line by adding All-Pro Tyler Linderbaum (BAL). If Jeanty was able to produce average numbers in a dysfunctional offense, he should be capable of producing above-average numbers in a functional one.

  • Ashton Jeanty may be the player I'm most excited to see on the field again. Jeanty was a can't-miss prospect who had a tumultuous first season. Despite the circumstances, Jeanty still finished as a high-end RB2, averaging 14 FPPG.

  • Ashton Jeanty will be seen as a disappointment for fantasy managers exiting his rookie season. The ecosystem surrounding Jeanty stunk. The Raiders were 31st in red zone scoring attempts per game and 30th in yards per play.

  • Last season, Ashton Jeanty eventually finished as the RB12, but he started slowly and, after the first three weeks, was the RB33.
