Latest takes

Jaxson Dart
  • An underrated pass-catcher who also happens to be best friends with quarterback Jaxson Dart , Skattebo brings additional value in PPR formats that some may not realize.

  • Jaxson Dart (QB – NYG) Dart is the headliner. The consensus ranks him as the QB12, but the projections peg him as a top-seven fantasy quarterback, with 310 projected points (18.3 per game).

  • Dart only started part of one game with Malik Nabers in 2025. However, the superstar wide receiver is on track to play in Week 1. Yet, the former Ole Miss quarterback averaged 22.6 fantasy points per game as the starter.

  • While fantasy players should draft him as a QB1, Dart is overvalued at his current ADP.

    Mike Fanelli· Aug 14
  • After watching Russell Wilson play poorly over the first three weeks, Jaxson Dart took over as the starter in Week 4 and never looked back.

    Mike Fanelli· Aug 12
  • Most recently, he helped Jaxson Dart along his impressive rookie season.

    Kyle Lesti· Aug 11
  • Jaxson Dart (QB – NYG) offers real rushing upside paired with rookie-year efficiency that was genuinely elite outside of one statistical outlier game.

  • Statistically, Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart had one of the better rookie seasons in recent memory. After taking over the starting job in late September, Dart threw for 2,200-plus yards and 15 touchdowns and ran for another 487 yards and nine touchdowns, the latter tied for second among quarterbacks in the entire league.

  • Dart did not need a perfect environment to create fantasy points because his legs consistently raised both his floor and ceiling.

  • TreVeyon Henderson, Trevor Lawrence, Jaxson Dart – 9 T6

  • Jaxson Dart (QB – NYG) I’m a bit hesitant to draft Jaxson Dart after last season because of the injuries, but his rushing potential is intriguing

  • Round 2: Jaxon Smith-Njigba (WR – SEA) I do have a Superflex spot, so another quarterback will definitely be on the roster, but I preferred Jaxon Smith-Njigba over Trevor Lawrence , Jaxson Dart , Brock Purdy and the other available quarterbacks.

  • But my issue here is that he plays so recklessly. Dart is one of the biggest injury risks you can find at the quarterback position.

  • Jaxson Dart showed a lot of potential as a rookie. He’s a dual-threat quarterback who plays a fantasy-friendly game.

  • It is going to be tough sledding for QB Jaxson Dart and this offense as the season kicks off. Last year, Dart made plays in no-huddle situations where he relied on his athleticism and reckless abandon to work its magic.

Justin Herbert
  • Justin Herbert (QB – LAC) Justin Herbert finished the 2025 season as the QB10 in PPG, mostly on the back of his rushing production (6th in rushing yards per game at 31.

  • Justin Herbert has an ADP of QB9 and is going in the back half of the seventh round.

  • Fantasy players can draft Justin Herbert nearly two rounds later and get similar upside out of the quarterback position.

  • Justin Herbert (LAC) Over the first three years of his NFL career, Justin Herbert averaged 287.5 passing yards and 1.9 TD passes per game.

  • With a healthier OL in 2026, Herbert can flirt with elite fantasy QB status. Five games with Joe Alt in 2025: Hebert averaged nearly 24 PPG (23.9). Twelve games without Alt? 16.2 PPG.

  • The only other top-24 picks to match their ADP in overall finish were Prescott, Justin Herbert , Goff, Nix, Love, and Allen.

    Rich Hribar· Aug 5
  • Even so, Johnston remains attached to an ascending offense with Justin Herbert and should maintain a full-time role entering 2026.

  • In superflex, those same cutoffs jump significantly, to Justin Herbert and Dak Prescott for a true QB1, since a real starter is required rather than a streaming option.

  • Justin Herbert leads the NFL in yards per scramble (9.4) over the past two seasons. 80 scrambles for 750 rushing yards.

  • And it’s not even the biggest difference in this group — that honor goes to Justin Herbert , which you already know if you took my advice in the intro and read my previous ESPN values article .

    Ted Chmyz· Jul 21
  • Justin Herbert over Patrick Mahomes. Mahomes is expected to age well, but Kansas City’s offense hasn’t looked like it did earlier in his career, ranking 22nd in yards per play over the last two seasons. Herbert’s overall trajectory is viewed as pointing up.

  • Herbert went through the wringer in 2025. Rashawn Slater missed the entire season. Joe Alt only appeared in six games. He closed out the year with a broken left hand, finishing with a career-high 54 sacks. That was the third-most sacks taken in the league behind Cam Ward (55) and Geno Smith (55).

    Rich Hribar· Jul 9
  • Justin Herbert has an ADP of QB9 and is going in the back half of the seventh round. Herbert was the QB10 last season despite playing behind a shabby, injury-riddled offensive line that allowed him to be sacked 54 times. His offensive line should be healthier and better, and the arrival of offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel could help unlock the sort of big passing numbers that Herbert produced in his first three seasons.

  • Justin Herbert, predictably, played much better with Alt on the field last year. His EPA per dropback with Alt on the field would have been the highest among qualified quarterbacks last year if he had produced it over the entire season.

  • Justin Herbert rebounded last year from a down 2024 season, finishing as the QB10 overall in '25. He was used as a rusher frequently last season, posting a career-high 498 rushing yards.
