Latest takes

Javonte Williams
  • Javonte Williams (DAL) Last year, Javonte Williams was a massive surprise in fantasy football to everyone, including me.

  • Javonte Williams (RB – DAL) Going as the RB16, 34th overall, one analyst has him as a top-12 back and would consider taking him as early as round two, though round three works just as well.

  • Javonte Williams (RB – DAL) was actually the RB1 in fantasy points per game last year, yet he’s being drafted like a mid-tier RB2 this year.

  • Round 5: DeVonta Smith (WR – PHI) Dallas Cowboys running back Javonte Williams was staring me in the face, but with a FLEX spot still available in a PPR league, I couldn’t pass up DeVonta Smith .

  • Thus, I went with a fairly safe RB2 in Javonte Williams. Williams had a massive share of the running back carries last season and caught 35 passes. He’ll approach nearly 300 touches this season and is on a high-powered offense.

  • RB10 RB23 RB19 Javonte Williams RB11 RB19 RB17 Ashton Jeanty RB12 RB8 RB6 Team Success Another takeaway from last season is that while team success is ideal for increasing red-zone opportunities and valuable carries inside the five-yard line, it is not necessary to finish as a top-tier RB.

  • Biggest Differences in ADP vs Fantasy Finish RB 2025 ADP 2025 Finish Differential Javonte Williams 41 11 30 Travis Etienne Jr .

  • Javonte Williams (RB – DAL) Williams was one of the best fantasy football draft values last season. Despite being the RB36 in ADP, the former North Carolina star ended the year as the RB12, averaging 15.2 PPR fantasy points per game.

    Mike Fanelli· Jul 25
  • This, combined with the decent running game by Javonte Williams , makes taking them both at their current ADP a no-brainer.

    Maggie Thraen· Jul 25
  • Javonte Williams among RBs last season: • 896 yards after contact (6th) • 54 missed tackles forced (7th) • 11 rushing touchdowns (8th)

  • Javonte Williams was highly efficient last season, but the Cowboys were often playing from behind, so he couldn’t get to his ceiling. This season, with a full year of Quinnen Williams , along with stud rookies Caleb Downs and Malachi Lawrence , the Cowboys should be much improved.

  • In Javonte Williams’ first season with the Dallas Cowboys, he ran 252 times for 1,201 yards and 11 touchdowns, and caught 35 passes on 51 targets for 137 yards and two touchdowns. Heading into this season, my biggest concern for Williams was the Cowboys adding another running back, but ultimately, they didn’t. The running back depth chart includes Williams, Malik Davis , Jaydon Blue and Phil Mafah .

  • I'm genuinely high on Javonte Williams for redraft leagues this year. I think he's in line for a big season.

    Jim Moorman· Jul 6
  • Javonte Williams began his career as a 21 year-old rookie challenging Melvin Gordon. He was a textbook Left-Wing Slappy player. When he popped up in Dallas last year as the ostensible starter coming off two terribly inefficient seasons, he was clearly a Right-Wing Slappy success story. Now that he's secured the RB1 job and his ADP has shot up into the 3rd round, he's clearly retained his Right-Wing status but has fallen into the boomer quadrant.

  • News out of OTAs suggests that Malik Davis is the RB2 on the depth chart behind Javonte Williams. While Williams had a great bounce-back season last year, he has struggled with injuries throughout his career.

Nico Collins
  • Playing in 15 games last season, Nico Collins had a 21.7% target share, catching 71 passes on 120 targets for 1,117 yards and six touchdowns. This season, Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel have another season under their belt. The Texans’ running game should be better with David Montgomery .

  • Nico Collins saw a respectable 21.7% target share last season, and it was even higher (24.6%) when C.J. Stroud was under center. He’s the No. 1 WR for this team.

  • Many gamers and analysts are drafting as if second-year wideout Jayden Higgins is the de facto second option behind incumbent alpha Nico Collins .

  • Starting WR/WR with Drake London or Nico Collins in round two could let you lean into Zero RB with an elite tight end such as Brock Bowers or Trey McBride .

    Tom Strachan· Aug 11
  • Alec Pierce, Nico Collins – 3.7 How to support a QB on a rookie deal ( Drake Maye ):

  • Nico Collins is a bona fide stud, and we are hopeful that Jayden Higgins will emerge as a startable fantasy asset this year.

    Kemper Trull· Jul 10
  • A healthy Nico Collins will also be a huge factor, as the connection between those two has consistently elevated Stroud's efficiency and touchdown production since coming into the league.

  • At worst, Collins profiles as a reliable fantasy WR1/WR2 hybrid with one of the strongest WR efficiency profiles in the NFL.

  • Nico Collins continued his run as Houston's unquestioned WR1 in 2025, posting his third 1,000-yard season in the last four years while finishing as a top-10 fantasy receiver once again. Despite battling injuries, Collins remained highly efficient and continued to dominate targets and red-zone usage in the Texans offense.

  • The Texans have a lot of passing game weapons, but outside of Schultz and Nico Collins, none of them are very good at all.

    Jeff Krisko· Jun 21
  • On the flip side, what if you have Nico and got a value on Jacobs (as his ADP free-falls thanks to off-field issues)? Montgomery would make more sense there for the stack-and-run back correlation.

    Chris Cash· Jun 6
  • Nico Collins' ADP is essentially one round behind his ECR in a 12-team league, with a 66% gap between his ADP and ECR that trails only Ja'Marr Chase. Although he has been "just" a back-end fantasy WR1 over the last two years, the 27-year-old is a genuine top-tier talent at the position, ranking seventh, second and fifth among qualified receivers in Pro Football Focus receiving grade over the last three seasons.

    Ted Chmyz· Jun 5
  • Nico Collins was discussed as a receiver whose combination of physical traits and offensive role keeps him firmly in the upper fantasy conversation. The analysis focused heavily on his ability to command targets while also producing explosive plays. There was a sense throughout the discussion that Collins has moved beyond simply being a breakout candidate and now belongs in the tier of receivers fantasy managers can trust weekly.

  • Top cap hit: Nico Collins, $14,939,529 (4.96 percent)

    Logan Ulrich· Jul 5
  • Houston will head into training camp later this month with back-to-back Pro Bowler Nico Collins continuing to lead its receiving corps. Stroud has formed a strong connection with Collins, a 1,000-yard receiver three years in a row.

    Connor Byrne· Jul 3
