“We needed the Falcons to stop making an offense built around Bijan Robinson and Drake London look like such a difficult assignment. Bijan piling up 213 scrimmage yards with two TDs, and London catching nine passes for 194 yards is a pretty convincing argument for getting your best players the friggin’ ball. That is why you should be encouraged by Penix.”

“Drake London gets a boost now that Penix Jr. is Atlanta’s starting QB, with 16.4 fantasy PPG with Penix Jr.”

“Atlanta has not reached the red zone through two games, and London has yet to see a red-zone or deep target. Michael Penix Jr. returning should help, but Green Bay has been tough on perimeter receivers, so I am not expecting the quarterback change to fix everything right away. “London has an 18.5% target share, 1.78 YPRR, zero red zone targets, zero deep targets, and a team-leading 20% first-read share. London hasn’t been bad, as he ranks 25th in separation score among 101 qualifying receivers after two weeks, but he can’t throw accurate passes to himself. We’ll see if he can get on track this week against a secondary that has held perimeter wide receivers to the sixth-fewest yards per target, but has allowed the 13th-most fantasy points per opportunity to the position.”

“London can still rebound, but if he’s going to reach his WR1 ceiling, he needs Michael Penix or Tua Tagovailoa to return. Until then, he’s more of a boom-or-bust WR2/3. For a guy with a second-round price tag, panic is definitely valid.”

“Falcons WR Drake London had just two catches for 29 yards on four targets and TE Kyle Pitts failed to catch his lone target. “Bijan is a great player. We are going to continue leaning on him, but we have to find ways to get all of our guys touches,” Falcons HC Kevin Stefanski said via the Athletic’s Josh Kendall .”

Second half: 8 carries for just 5 yards, but 4 more targets, 2 catches/21 yards.”

“Those offensive line injuries are another variable, but Gibbs is a front-end RB1 option who will sit as the RB1 in ranks again in a game that could be the highest-scoring of the week. This is a game where you play all the core pieces on both sides, no questions asked. Even if Detroit runs the ball less as a road underdog, Gibbs has an out as a pass catcher.”

“Lions In the first game without RB David Montgomery , Lions RB Jahmyr Gibbs had 34 total touches for 186 scrimmage yards and two touchdowns in the team’s win over the Saints. Lions HC Dan Campbell admitted using Gibbs that much isn’t ideal, but he wants to do whatever it takes to win. Campbell also feels Gibbs’ elite conditioning allows this, though he was clear they will monitor his health.”

“Gibbs is the team’s unquestioned bell cow, but if it wants more established depth at the position, it could dip into free agency. The Lions held a late-August visit with Kareem Hunt , Pacheco’s former teammate in Kansas City, though it is unclear if he is still on their radar.”

The top selection in fantasy this year, Gibbs rushed for 156 yards and two touchdowns on 29 carries, also bringing in five receptions for 30 yards as a receiver. An increased workload occurred due to this game heading into overtime, but head coach Dan Campbell seems confident that Gibbs can shoulder this many touches as necessary, though it isn’t ideal.”

He’s finally freed from the clutches of a committee with David Montgomery leaving town, and Detroit has one of the highest totals on the slate. While I wouldn’t be overweight on Gibbs this week, he does need to be included in your player pool for the pure slate-breaking potential that would leave your lineups null and void if you don’t have any shares.”
